"In recent years, it has become standard practice to test hit compounds identified in early drug discovery programs against the cardiac ion channel, hERG. A robust stable cell line for this target with a high expression capability and superior tail current amplitude is critical for successful hERG liability screening. Using conventional electrophysiology BioFocus DPI have demonstrated that the CreaCell hERG HEK293 stable cell line routinely displays hERG tail currents in the range of 0.5nA to 2nA. With the use of this cell line, BioFocus DPI is able to perform giga-seal quality analysis of compounds against this important selectivity target."
