Cellular tools are essential in order to explor functions of a promising target or actions of a potential drug. Our team is continually developping primary cell cultures, immortalized cell lines and recombinant cell lines.

Primary cell cultures

Normal animal tissues (e.g., skin, liver, kidney) or whole embryos are commonly used to establish primary cell cultures. Establishment includes three stages:

Fibroblasts from a transgenic rodent biopsy.

1 - Isolation of the tissue
2 - Dissection and mechanical or enzymatic disaggregation
3 - Seeding in the culture vessel.

Immortalized cell lines

A wide variety of mammalian tissues can be cultured and maintained in vitro just for a limited period time. Immortalized cell lines from different species and types are established via transfection of oncogenes.

Recombinant cell lines

Our recombinant cell line development process includes gene cloning, reporter and expression vectors construction, DNA transfer, transient and stable functional validations.

Custom development of your cellular tools includes :
– Certificate of analysis: all the cell lines are delivered with a
documented certificate of analysis (historic, engineering methods,
maintenance conditions).
– Freedom of use: freedom of use of the recombinant cell line components is systematically controlled by an independent Intellectual Property office.
